The Anime I re-watch over and over again #WeebProblems

As I reach the tender age of 24 for this year I have officially been watching anime for 8 years now and as I still continue to update My list on MyAnimeList I find that there are some anime’s I just continue watching over and over again and loving them every single time I do.

I thought I’d share some anime’s that aren’t in my top 10 and one that is, I just can’t get enough of them.

Without further ado, let’s go!

1. Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri

I was re-watching Gate for the fifth time last week, and each time it becomes even better. You may wonder why it isn’t in my top 10 but it is still a fantastic anime to watch. Gate has a terrific cast of characters, ranging from a stunning woman to the hilarious fool Itami. The combination of real-life and magical elements distinguishes this anime from the typical stick about travelling to a magical world.

I definitely prefer season 2 to season 1 since it culminates the events of season 1 and the two-part season anime ends on a high note. Because this anime is based on a light book, it’s difficult to predict what will happen next, but it’s still incredibly wonderful.

2. Ghost Hunt

I always like watching Ghost Hunt, whether it’s for Halloween or just for fun!

Ghost Hunt isn’t the most creative storyline I’ve ever seen, but it’s on the list. The particular instances are really well-thought-out and disturbing, and one of them is one that I can’t watch at night since I am a scaredy-cat. Ghost hunt has a fantastic ensemble, and I appreciate how it is a tale inside a story.

3. Irregular at Magic High school

Irregular is my second favourite anime of all time, which is why I can re-watch it multiple times. Irregular was recently dubbed, and I wasn’t sure if I’d like it because I’d been watching it in Japanese since 2018, so I wasn’t sure if I’d like the English version, but I’m watching it anyway because it explains the technical side much better than reading the subtitles.

Most people consider this anime to be a carbon copy of many other magical school anime, but I find it to be amusing and incredibly intriguing to say the least; the brother and sister complex should be toned down a little, but that’s not going to change anytime soon.

Season 2 was fantastic, and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

4. Aquarion + Aquarion Evol

For me, these two are one and the same since they are linked. You can’t watch Evol before watching Aquarion because things won’t make sense at the conclusion of Evol. The Aquarion series is my favourite mecha anime, and I will always enjoy the characters, fighting, and plot line plot that follows the story of Apollonius and Celiane century after millennia.

This anime has a mystical quality to it that makes it better every time I watch it.

5. Jormungand

The last series is Jormungand’s. Jormungand is something I enjoy in original episodes such as cop shows, but the reason I keep coming back to this unique anime is really the main character Koko, who is a huge child on the one hand and a calm, collected, and brilliantly thought on the other.

Each episode presents a backstory to each character so that we don’t forget who they are and why they opted to join the squad bodyguarding a weapons dealer while still having a broader tale in the background.
