What exactly is it?
It’s a monthly unique event created by the lovely Jon Spencer Reviews, that brings together bloggers and other content providers from all around the internet. So I’m here to showcase the wonderful work everyone has submitted to me from the month of February. In truth, this is my very first time hosting and I feel very privileged to be hosting again this year.

Let’s start this month by sharing Jon’s thoughts on the way people should start watching Fate, Now just recently my society at University watched Gigguk’s Video on Fate and how to start watching it and I couldn’t help but laugh at how stupid it was but it was entirely right to be confused on how to understand the franchise let alone watch it.

Beautiful Bones: Sakurako’s Investigation – Are They Beautiful Though? by Mechanical Anime Reviews
Mechanical Anime’s Scott reviews, reviews Beautiful Bones: Sakurako’s Investigation, Apparently challenging himself to watch different anime, he heads to watch a very distinct type of anime that you don’t see much of. I am quite biassed while writing this because I have also seen this excellent anime and it reminded me of the Bones TV show, which was one of my favourite shows.
What makes this a nice review to read is that he offers a straightforward play-by-play of most of the episodes, which adds to the fun of watching them. Before starting the show, I recommend reading Scott’s review.
Japanese Hospitality: Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S OVA Review and Reflection by The Infinite Zenith
A pretty extensive review from our friend over at Infinite Zenith, but be warned: if you haven’t seen this programme or the OVA, I recommend you avoid it till you do. Infinite Zenith provides a play-by-play review of the OVA, as well as screenshots and running commentary.
It was an absolute pleasure reading this review, and they always give their all in whatever they write.
Anime Review 232 Hunter x Hunter 2011 by TakaTempest Reviews
As a fan of Hunter x Hunter, TakaTempest’s review was incredibly refreshing to read because it provided a different perspective than mine. Nothing is revealed while reading this review, which is great for someone who hasn’t seen Hunter x Hunter before but wants to get a sense of what it’s about.
From character descriptions to Nen’s powers, this review is a great refreshing piece that I have read in a long time, and I look forward to seeing what else they have in store for us.
Anime Review #75: K-On! by The Traditional Catholic Weeb
I have not yet watched K-On! I , myself don’t think I ever will since its not my cup of tea, The traditional Catholic weeb reviews this anime In what they liked about it, what they didn’t like about it, what the characters are like, opinions about the music along with favourite certain things about the show and much more.
This is a good review for those who haven’t seen K-On! before this is a good way to know about the show without even having to watch it.
Demon Slayer – Season 1 – Complete Anime Review by The Anime Tourist
I welcome the Anime Tourist into the fold. I remember my first year in blogging when there were many reviews floating around reviewing the same anime. The best thing about us bloggers is that we all have different opinions and pick up different things to share, and Courtney at the Anime Tourist is no exception.
The anime tourist discusses the visual impact, the characters, how well the anime paced the episodes and narrative, and much more. I enjoyed hearing her perspective on such a terrific anime.
Anime Corner: The Aquatope on White Sand Review by Never Argue with a Fish
Never argue with a fish reviews the anime The aquatope on white sand, it is a very short and simple but sweet review on the anime and after reading this I will be putting this show on my list to watch on top of everything else.
It has no spoilers so it was easy to read before I could even start the first episode, This spoiler-free review gives us insights into an anime Never argue with a fish truly loves to call it their favourite series to come out of 2021.
Studio Deen’s Fate/Stay Night: A Boy, A Girl, A Holy Grail War by Shallow Dives in Anime
I have to say that I am quite opinionated towards Fate/Stay Night, and the original anime, which was published in 2006 first, is absolute crap in my view compared to the remake Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works, which was released in 2014, but that is just my opinion. So, when I read Shadow Dives into Anime’s perspective on the original, I had to keep an open mind and listen to what they had to say.
I had to set my sentiments aside only after reading the first paragraph to grasp what they were trying to tell me as Shadow Dives in anime quotes. “That is just not fair. To compare this series to what Fate would become is not right[…]It is not proper to place any legitimate criticism on it simply because it wasn’t made by Ufotable. Studio Deen’s work needs to be judge on what it IS, not what Fate would BECOME.” after reading what they had to say, my perspective was modified slightly.
I hope your’s will too.
The Observation Deck: Wotakoi by Animated Observations
Since Valentine’s Day was last month, this is the first post for The Valentine’s Day Pile, and let’s just say this is a very simple but very thorough review; it took me a few minutes to realise I was flying through understanding everything animated Observations was saying, and I agreed wholeheartedly.
If your looking for an easy read but something wholesome, Then look no further
Anime Spoiler-Free Review: Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks? by Matt-in-the-Hat
Our resident Matt over at Matt in the Hat reviews the anime Do You Love your nun and her two-hit multi-target attacks?
His review has no spoilers, which is ideal when writing anime reviews to expose people to a series. It is brief and sweet, which I like to read over an essay, but I am unable to speak since when I write one, I use numerous headers. After reading this review, I believe I will add this anime to my ‘To Watch’ list, and I hope you will do the same after reading it.
Blue Period Series Review – Explosive Creativity, Drama and Teen Angst by 100 Word Anime
Karandi of 100-word anime has written yet another excellent and informative review. This is the only Blue Period review I’ve read other than my own, and while I found me agreeing and disagreeing with portions of what she stated, it’s still an excellent read.
You will not be disappointed if you read either my review or the 100-word review on Blue period 😉
Carole & Tuesday, Bebop, and Dandy: Observations on World Building by Soul Kitchen
Another newcomer I have just met and I’m very grateful to be promoting PlutoMango|Soul Kitchen’s review on Carole & Tuesday. Another Spoiler-free review is what we like to see when thinking about watching a particular anime and it is always good to get another’s opinion and this is exactly what this review is, she quotes “watching Carole and Tuesday lately and couldn’t help but pick up some observations on its world-building and how it compares/contrasts to some of the other works like Cowboy Bebop and Space Dandy set in the same universe.”
To see it has the same director as my favourite anime Zankyou no Terror temps me to watch this show and give it go, Only time will tell haha
My break-up letter with Last Exile by In the search of Number Nine
Another interesting blog entry by our friend iniksbane over at In the search of Number nine.
During this post, you learn a lot about the anime ‘Last Exile’ and a little history lesson behind the blog itself. As I find myself reading I find that it’s more of a love letter than a breakup letter and then I keep reading, even more, to realize it seems it’s more of a turning point for Iniksbane personal choices in anime.

I am not a fan of reading episode reviews before I’ve had a chance to read a spoiler-free whole review or seen the show itself, however, I can give you the lo-down, we get to hear his opinion on his favourite quote, Best in Show Moment, Setup and Delivery.

The second Valentine’s day post for the Showcase from our girl Nora over at all the fujoshi unite. Giving a small synopsis on titles of GL Manga/manhwa she has been trying to keep up with as they release on the internet for all to read.
As a fellow (secret) fujoshi (even though it’s not really a secret 😉 ) it was refreshing to get some new titles to read and I hope you feel the same.
Attack on Titan (Manga) – A Tragic Lesson in Futility by The Otaku Author
First I would like to celebrate this post personally as Lynn over Otaku Author reaches their 1,000 posts and dedicates it to an anime that means a lot to them. (I’m almost at 100 myself)
A lot of attention has been on Attack on Titan as it reaches the final episode as of the 3rd April 2022 but the manga has been finished for a while this blog post talks about Attack on Titan and how it’s impacted Lynn’s life over the last nine years, and also that ending. I do encourage people that have read the manga and finished to read this.
The Country Without Humans Vol 1 Review by Als Manga Blog
A great submission from our resident manga blogger Alyssa over at Als Manga Blog.
Complete with a Synopsis and a Review along with a nice score, sometimes It’s nice for someone to review something before you headlong into investing time reading something and with an excellent 8/10 rating from Alyssa it’s a solid manga to recommend checking out!

Can You Judge a Book by Its Cover? by Side of Fiction
Another newcomer I have yet to be introduced to but then again I have been gone for a really long time.
Nonetheless, I found this a really interesting topic to hear about as just from the title, I think I do exactly that. As a University student studying photography who could down the path of photographing book covers as a living, I encourage people to read this post and get a sense of what Jacob is trying to tell us.
I will defiantly try and be less judgemental from here on out.
Shonen no Abyss Review by Core Reviews
So many new faces to me! I welcome Tequila over at Core Reviews, Since my frequent absence since the summer of 2021 more people have joined our community and it’s nice to get a fresh set of eyes.
I’ll keep this brief since I am very interested in reading this manga as this review contains minor spoilers and I want to surprise when I get around to reading it, but that doesn’t stop you guys from reading a fantastic review with an in-depth analysis on characters and the manga itself.
Yarichin Bitch Club Manga Review by Blerdy Otome
Our girl Blerdy Otome gracious’s us with a fabulous review on the Spicy BL Manga Yarichin Bitch Club and boy was I ready to hear what she had to say.
Every word Naja had to say I agreed with every word and I must tell you its worth the read if you’ve read the manga as I have but It also caters to the people that haven’t read or watched the OVA that’s out in the world that I loved every second of. Out of all of the reviews I’ve seen so far this has been the most fun to read.
Love Me For Who I Am Volume 5 by Matt Doyle Media
A very short but sweet review from Matt over at Matt Doyle Media.
For those who haven’t seen read this manga yet and don’t want it spoilt, I suggest staying clear but if you need a fresh opinion on the manga I’d give this a solid read, Giving a simple synopsis for the volume and giving it a score helps a lot when deciding whether to continue with a series or to drop it.

College Craze | Game Review | NSFW 18+ by Sweet and Spicy | Otome Game Reviews
I first met Oona Tempest over at Sweet and Spicy last year when I hosted for the very first time and I was astonished at how pretty their blog was and the designs they used were on point. This time they are back with an in-depth review on the game College Craze.
Giving us ratings such as Character design, how sweet it was, how spicy it was 😉 and how good the story was. Look no further when it comes to otome games, Sweet and spicy has it all reviewing on things such as Characters, Game trailer, The premise of the game to everything you might think of for a ‘College craze’ game, it is always nice to learn there are other things out there.
The Twisted Tales of Spike McFang – Cutest vampire protagonist… ever! by Nepiki Gaming
Just a fair warning to whoever wants to read this post should read the ‘Before you read’ before continuing on 🙂
Because The Twisted Tales of Spike McFang is mostly a stand-alone title aside from a Japanese-exclusive platforming game, Nepiki has no prior experience with the IP. Before writing this review, they made sure they finished the game as they have more than enough experience with top-down adventure/RPG genre to use that knowledge to better construct their opinions of the game.
After giving a very thorough review along with the score and also giving the positives and negatives of the game, this review is a good read if you considering playing the game.
Wildermyth, Disco Elysium, and the Pleasure of Bold Choices by Adventure Rules
Robert over at Adventure rules gracious’s us with a two-game in one review. Both Wildermyth and disco Elysium.
A review complete with screenshots from game two games that indulged his wackiest impulses and reminded him of how fun it can be to stop trying to win and just play the game.
Tales of Arise is an Amazing RPG by The Gamer with Glasses
George over at The Gamer with Glasses reviews the RPG game Tales of Arise and he even writes in the title ‘Tales of Arise is an amazing RPG’ I was so intrigued to read why this is?
When going through this review it has almost everything you need to make your mind up about the game and whether to play it or not from an Introduction to the story to Gameplay, Game music, his likes, his dislikes and to end a conclusion paired with a rating which he gave it as 9.4 which is pretty high!

Pokémon Legends: Arceus Works (Backlog Tale) by Tales from the Backlog
DanamesX over Tales from the Backlog reviews the game Pokemon Legends: Arceus Works.
A very thorough and thought out review on the game complete with a synopsis, gameplay screenshots and obviously from what I can read it is a really good game to play, as who doesn’t love a good Pokemon game? right?
Indietail – GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon by Indiecator
MagiWasTaken over at Indiecator reviews the game GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon.
This review contains gameplay screenshots a very opinionated instead of logical which is much different to what I’ve seen already and I love different, and I hope you do too 🙂

Sparking my Lost Love for the MMO Genre by Time to Loot

Breath of the Wild Retrospective by Frostilyte Writes
Frostilyte over at Frostilyte writes reviews switch game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
The greatest thing about this review for me personally is the discussion the review itself leads to be, it’s nice to see when two people have different opinions about something like my friends the other day fighting over who is hotter between genshin impact characters Kaeya and Diluc (diluc for the win -cough, cough- 😉 )
Giving us some gameplay screenshots and very high opinions, this review gives you all you want and more.

My Predictions and Fanfic Hopes For The Future of Kingdom Hearts by TheLion’sOpinions
I have never understood the fascination people have with Kingdom hearts until TheLion’sOpinions opened my eyes with their hope for the future for the game.
I wasn’t expecting to how much one person had to say about Kingdom hearts and if you have the time, give this a read, just sit there and read every single word they typed because you will be surprised on how hopes can thrive as much as this does for TheLion’sopinions.

Metropolis: The Lost Madhouse Masterpiece was released by ANN, and it’s about an anime film from the turn of the century that doesn’t get much attention, Apprentice was reminded of the first AMV he ever watched, long before he was into anime or even understood what AMVs were.

Tomodachi Game: Season 1, Season 2, & Movie Thoughts by Wretched and Divine
Rose over at Wretched and Divine reviews Tomodachi Game both season 1, season 2 and the movie. Tomodachi Game is a Japanese drama based on a manga. There is an upcoming anime adaptation, and Rose is pretty excited about it.
I myself have watched a few Japanese drama’s before such as Subete ga F ni Naru and I feel is much better than its anime counterpart but I won’t get into that now 😉 . Rose gives us a rundown of the show along with thoughts on both seasons and the movie, Maybe I’ll give this a watch, who knows
